And while you may have heard of our impactful microfinance loans fueling dreams in Ecuador and beyond, today, we’re shining a light on a different, yet equally deserving need—helping orphaned children in Quito.
For many women in challenging locales, a small loan can be transformative. Imagine the power of a $250 loan—it has the potential to lift a small business to new heights, creating ripple effects that can change the lives of entire families. Our model is unique; loans are not just a one-time give, they’re repayments and re-loans, spreading hope far and wide.
Yet, beyond the businesses and families, lies another pressing need—the children. These young souls, some without mothers to care for them, find refuge in orphanages, like those in Quito. Each bed pictured below, though seemingly ordinary, carries the name of a young child—a child who, despite life’s challenges, holds onto a space they call “home.”
This year, our end-of-year fundraiser is dedicated to these children. We’re seeking to meet their basic needs and bring a semblance of normalcy and love to their often tumultuous lives.
